Concert No 81 - Parveen Sultaanaa

Temple where the legendary Meera (Mira) the mystic poet and leading light of Bhakti movement prayed to Lord Krishna in Chittorgarh Fort. Born in Merta in Nagaur, Mira started adoring Lord Krishna as her lover from the tender age of 8 and continued her "love affair" even after marriage to Bhoj Raj, the son of Rana Sanga, the famous ruler of Chittor. Her devotional poems are among the most endearing hymns in Hindu literature
