As I was searching for this song, I was able to find the song sung by Neyveli Sri Sandanagopalan only and not by any other singer. In fact I was searching for this song sung by Madurai Sri Mani Iyer. I could not accomplish. Today I am happy taht I have downloaded the song sung by another doyen Sri Chembai. If possible please upload Madurai Sri Mani Iyer rendering this son. - It is my great regret that I was not born a few years earlier to have fully enjoyed the music of stalwarts like Chembai, Musiri, Tiger Varadachari and others… You have consoled me to an extent with these recordings. For the first time I am listening to Chembai without atrocious background noises and poor quality sound. One of the problems being that the microphones of earlier days were too weak to cope with this stentorian voice. I was so moved by O Jagadamba that I was crying like a child. God bless you and give you a long life. As I understand, Chembai was not only an excellent singer, but a great wit as well. He is supposed to have said about Parveen Sultana: she has not only great saariram but good sariram as well! I wonder if your readers can share similar anecdotes about Chembai. Also, what happened to all his shishyas?
